Something at the Reef

A government survey crew logged an unidentified shape surfacing near the rocks off the coast, photographed only once before it vanished beneath the swell.

The Encounter

The crew was conducting a routine coastal survey when several members reported an unusually large shape breaching near a reef formation. One photograph was taken before the object submerged and did not resurface.

Official Record

The incident was logged only as an "unidentified marine specimen" in the accompanying field notes, and the file was sealed shortly afterward. No follow-up survey of the area was conducted.
