Lights Over Millbrook
Nineteen residents of a small farming town reported synchronized aerial lights hovering for over an hour before vanishing without sound. The event began shortly after dusk, when several families reported a series of stationary lights arranged in a loose triangle above the northern treeline.
What Witnesses Described
Accounts collected in the days following the sighting were unusually consistent. Witnesses described three to five lights, pale amber in color, holding a fixed formation for nearly seventy minutes before dimming and disappearing in sequence rather than all at once.
No sound was reported at any point during the sighting, despite several witnesses being close enough that engine or wind noise would ordinarily have been audible.
The Investigation
Local authorities logged the reports but closed the file within a month, citing "insufficient physical evidence" — no photographs from the event have survived, and the only supporting material is the collected witness statements themselves.
The case remains open in name only. No further sightings were reported in the area in the decades since.
